After her previous residence was condemned by the city, she became homeless and today sleeps on her friend’s sofa. Now, she’s fighting for employee rights in Missouri on behalf of Stand Up Kansas City – to make sure that she, and other people in her position, can get a fair wage and adequate employer protection.
